About the Role

Achieving for Children is a Community Interest Company that has a public sector ethos, combined with the freedom to innovate enabling us to do things differently.

We offer flexible and dynamic working opportunities as a Play and Leisure Assistant in our Short Breaks Service. This role will allow you to support young people with disabilities, providing a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment for them to develop their skills and interests.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with group leaders to plan and deliver activities that meet the needs of our service users. You will be responsible for supporting children and young people with their personal care, feeding, moving and handling needs, as well as maintaining a safe and organised environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children and young people, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as part of a team. You will also need to be aware of safeguarding policies and procedures, and able to write reports associated with the days events.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £25,382 - £26,238 per annum (SCP01-03), plus a range of benefits including training opportunities, access to our counselling service, and flexible working hours.
