We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team at MET Recruitment UK LTD. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault finding, identifying, developing, and implementing modifications to current manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Improving production output, product quality, and equipment reliability.
  • Managing projects, including timelines, budgets, and planned versus actual progress.
  • Working with production and support services to identify new equipment requirements.
  • Preparing and submitting tenders for new equipment and overseeing installation and commissioning.
  • Coordinating and managing contractors involved in projects and tasks.
  • Ensuring plant is designed, installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with contract conditions and maintaining appropriate records.
  • Complying with health and safety legislation and company rules and policies.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
  • Previous experience as a Project Engineer in the engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software, preferably AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent project tracking software.
  • Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Computer literacy and ability to communicate at various levels.
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams and multiple disciplines.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, deadlines, and concurrent projects.
  • Work independently as well as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and commitment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including 37 hours per week, 7:30am – 4pm Monday – Thursday, with an early finish on Fridays, 33 days annual leave, healthcare scheme, life assurance, pension scheme, and onsite parking.
