Role Overview

The Clinical Team Leader is a key role in our endoscopy department, responsible for managing the clinical areas and ensuring high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess care needs and develop programs of care
  • Set standards on a shift basis and in the absence of the Deputy Matron/Unit Manager
  • Provide leadership and be highly visible and accessible to patients and staff
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and drive up high-quality clinical care
  • Support the audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory codes
  • Identify workforce shortfalls and ensure safe staffing levels
  • Address professional concerns about standards of nursing care and staffing levels
  • Support issues around safeguarding
Requirements
  • Adult Registered Nurse (NMC Pin)
  • Endoscopy nursing experience (essential)
  • Knowledge of NMC codes and guidelines
  • Teaching/assessing qualification
