Job Title: Registered Care Home Manager

Chris the King Residential Care Homes is seeking an experienced Mental Health Registered Care Home Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be based at our 16-bed Care Home in South Croydon CR2.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Home Management: The day-to-day running of the home/unit/business, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for service users.
  • Communication: Liaise with our Regional Care Manager with regular handover and updates about the service, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Service User Care: Ensure the emotional, spiritual, physical, medical, and material needs of service users are recognized, assessed, and met, promoting a high-quality service.
  • Staff Management: Assist the client/registered owner with recruitment, appointment, and deployment of staff, ensuring effective induction, supervision, and assessment.
  • Finance: Monitor and control day-to-day expenditure within the home's budget limits, preparing budgets and monthly cash flow reports for the client director/person-in-control.
  • Staff Development: Ensure competence is maintained and developed, participating in ongoing up-date courses, audits, and research.

Requirements:

  • Experience in mental health care management
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations

Salary: £40,000.00 to £43,000.00/year depending on experience.
