Job Title: Acute Medicine Consultant

Location: United Kingdom

Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Walsons Healthcare team, the Acute Medicine Consultant will be responsible for providing expert medical care to patients presenting with acute medical conditions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments, formulating diagnosis, and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients
  • Leading and participating in the care of medical patients admitted to the acute medical unit
  • Providing clinical leadership, guidance, and support to junior medical staff
  • Participating in teaching, training, and research activities within the department

Qualifications and Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A medical degree from a recognized institution
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK
  • Completion of specialty training in Acute Medicine or General Internal Medicine
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive experience in the management of acute medical conditions in a hospital setting
  • Strong clinical acumen, decision-making skills, and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
