Job Title: Highway Asset Inspector

Randstad Construction and Property is looking for an experienced Highway Asset Inspector to join their team in North London. This is a freelance position with a duration of 6-12 months, paid via CIS.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum

About the Role:
• Ensure contractor work adheres to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards, safeguarding project integrity and ensuring successful delivery.
• Act as the champion of quality, ensuring all construction activities adhere to design specifications, industry standards, and best practices.
• Conduct regular inspections and document progress meticulously, maintaining accurate records of work completed, measurements, and any deviations from plans, providing a clear picture of project progress.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and contractors, identifying and resolving issues promptly, providing technical support during project implementation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high-quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of work completed, measurements, and any deviations from plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of construction methodology and materials, with the ability to assess work quality effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably in a similar role or within the construction industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
