Job Description

This position is based in Perth, Western Australia, offering a unique opportunity to work with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team.

CAMHS provides support, advice, and treatment to young people and their families experiencing mental health issues. The service offers recovery-focused programs and services for children from birth to 18 years old, with three key program areas: Acute, Community, and Specialised.

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in any of these three settings: Acute CAMHS, Community CAMHS, or Specialised CAMHS services.

The ideal candidate will have FRANZCP or equivalent qualifications, expertise in Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry, and experience in providing clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical leadership and expertise in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
  • Undertaking individual therapy and family systems interventions
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement processes
  • Supervising undergraduate medical and other related professionals
