Job Title: Programme Facilitator - Interventions

Job Summary:

  • Deliver Accredited Programmes and Structured Interventions to individuals on probation to reduce re-offending.
  • Work with a diverse range of offenders, including those with complex needs and risks, to help them build constructive and meaningful lives.
  • Collaborate with Probation Practitioners and other agencies to ensure effective sentence management and risk reduction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including courts, criminal justice agencies, and community groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver interventions in group settings, adapting to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Manage group dynamics and complexities, ensuring effective targeting of interventions and learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and make informed recommendations on suitability, risk, safety, and wellbeing of individuals on probation.
  • Liaise with relevant staff and stakeholders to provide timely and accurate communication and analysis of individuals' progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with offenders, particularly those with complex needs and risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily based in the Interventions Team, with regular travel to deliver interventions across a large regional area.
  • Regularly work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends, with possibility of occasional overtime.
