About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Tissue Viability team as a Tissue Viability Sister. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert care and support to patients with complex wounds, promoting skin integrity and wound healing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to patients with complex wounds, including assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and promote effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in wound care and tissue viability, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of education and training programs for staff, promoting excellence in wound care and tissue viability.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.

Requirements

  • Registered nurse with a degree qualification and significant post-registration experience in wound care and tissue viability.
  • Proven expertise in wound care and tissue viability, with a strong understanding of current issues and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
