About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Tissue Viability team as a Tissue Viability Sister. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with complex wounds and skin integrity issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert wound care and skin integrity advice to patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement wound care plans, ensuring effective and efficient care delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote best practice and improve patient outcomes.
  • Conduct wound assessments, provide education, and support to patients and carers.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.

Person Specification

  • Registered nurse with a degree qualification and significant post-registration experience in wound care.
  • Proven expertise in tissue viability, skin integrity, and wound care.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices.
