About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Tissue Viability team as a Tissue Viability Sister. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with complex wounds and skin integrity issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to patients with complex wounds and skin integrity issues
  • Develop and implement wound care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct wound assessments and provide education to patients and carers
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote best practice in wound care
  • Contribute to the development of wound care policies and guidelines

Person Specification

  • Registered nurse with a degree in nursing or equivalent
  • Significant post-registration experience in wound care or a related field
  • Knowledge of current issues in wound care and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
