Consultant Chemical Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Chemical Pathologist to join our team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Biochemistry department, you will play a vital role in providing a wide range of diagnostic services to patients across East Sussex.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Chemical Pathology, with expertise in lipidology and cardiovascular risk prevention. You will be responsible for conducting clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of our Trust's service plans.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with other departments, including Endocrinology/Diabetes and Cardiology. You will also be expected to join and participate in regional lipid and cardiovascular disease groups, as well as contribute to hospital, laboratory, and GP teaching activities.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of our Trust's service plans.
- Work closely with other departments, including Endocrinology/Diabetes and Cardiology.
- Join and participate in regional lipid and cardiovascular disease groups.
- Contribute to hospital, laboratory, and GP teaching activities.
- MB BS or equivalent.
- Fellowship of Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent.
- Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC) (or eligible for registration within 6 months of interview via CCT).
- MD/ MSc/ PhD or equivalent.
- BSE accreditation.
