Chemical Pathologist Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Pathologist Consultant to join our team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our laboratory services, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on chemical pathology matters, as well as leading and managing our lipid clinics.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance on chemical pathology matters to medical and nursing staff
• Lead and manage our lipid clinics, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes
• Develop and implement laboratory management strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement clinical governance and appraisal initiatives
• Contribute to the development of local services and participate in multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

• MB BS or equivalent qualification
• Fellowship of Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent
• Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
• Experience in chemical pathology and lipidology, with a strong understanding of laboratory management and clinical governance
