Consultant in Paediatric Radiology

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Paediatric Radiologist to join our General Radiology Department at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services for children, including plain radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, MRI, and CT scans.
The ideal candidate will have completed at least 1 year of subspecialist training in paediatric radiology and have a strong track record of teaching and research. They will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care and contribute to the development of our department.
The successful candidate will join a large and dynamic department with a team of 11 diagnostic radiologists, 1 whole-time Nuclear Medicine consultant, 6 neuroradiologists, and 6 interventional radiologists. They will have access to a full home reporting workstation and will be expected to participate in a non-resident on-call rota.
Main Duties of the JobThe position will involve general paediatric radiology sessions at Great Ormond Street, including reporting, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, MDT attendance, and supervision of complex CT and MRI examinations. The appointee will be expected to develop sub-specialist interests during their tenure and contribute to the development of our department.
The successful candidate will be expected to work under pressure in a multi-disciplinary environment and have excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills. They will be required to participate in a non-resident on-call rota and contribute to the development of our department.
