Safety and Environment Manager

The Defence Nuclear Enterprise is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Safety and Environment Manager. This position is a critical component of our team, responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of nuclear materials.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize the risk of accidents and environmental damage.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of safety and environmental initiatives.
- Monitor and report on safety and environmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain safety cases and environmental impact assessments for nuclear transport operations.
- Professionally recognized environmental management qualification or relevant experience.
- Strong technical background and experience in safety management, particularly in the nuclear industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and coordination.
