Key Responsibilities- Comply with MOD policy and instructions, legislation, and procedures that apply to the management of DNO Transport system safety.
- Manage activities to demonstrate that risks are reduced to ALARP.
- Manage and maintain a suite of safety cases for vehicles and equipment employed on Transport Operations.
- Coordinate safety management activities across nuclear safety management interfaces and with Transport stakeholders.
- Manage and comply with MoD and Warhead Group Safety Management Systems through life, monitoring arrangements, and required documentation.
- Facilitate Nuclear Transport Operations Group (NTOG) safety and environmental committees, panels, and working groups.
- Support DNO Transport Programme and commercial activities through SQEP advice on safety and environmental requirements.
- Professionally recognized environmental management qualification or relevant experience.
- STEM qualification at Level 6.
- System Safety Practitioner (MOD internal applicants only) and/or PGCert System Safety Engineering.
