Support Young People and Unlock Their Potential

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Residential Care team, working closely with children and young people to provide emotional support during challenging times.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you will foster ambition in young people, assisting them in achieving their goals and maximising their potential. This includes providing support in educational pursuits, maintaining accurate records, and preparing written reports for planning meetings.

You will also empower young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and future, acting as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing Emotional Support: Offer support during challenging times and help build confidence in young people.
  • Fostering Ambition: Assist young people in setting and achieving their goals, helping them to reach their full potential.
  • Education Support: Provide guidance and assistance in educational pursuits, promoting academic success.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports for planning meetings.
  • Empowerment: Encourage young people to take an active role in decision-making about their lives and future.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £24,793.60 - £26,083.20 per annum (£11.92 - £12.54 per hour)
  • Sleep-In Payments: £30 per mandatory sleep-in shift (£2,880 based on 2 sleep-ins per week)
  • Overtime Pay: 1.25x your hourly rate

Requirements:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years old
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license preferable
  • Passion for Working with Young People: No prior experience necessary, only a commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Availability: Must have availability for sleep-in shifts
