Job Summary

This is a multidisciplinary role providing medical support at F3/CT1 level to acute surgical teams and patients. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of salaried NHS experience at SHO level (F2), including 6 months as an F2 in acute medical or geriatric medicine. GMC registration is also a requirement.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the perioperative medicine team as part of an evolving speciality within the RDUH trust. The dynamic team is a multidisciplinary group and is consultant led. We are striving to improve the care provided to patients on perioperative pathways. The role involves working at an SHO (F3/ST1 equivalent) level and will provide opportunities to experience all components of the pathway, including high risk clinic, CPET, operating theatres and MDT meetings.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide medical support to acute surgical teams and patients, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills. The role involves working closely with the perioperative medicine team to improve patient care and outcomes. We encourage active involvement in research and quality improvement in this field.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong medical background, with at least 1 year of salaried NHS experience at SHO level (F2). GMC registration is also a requirement.
