About the Role

The Supply Chain Demand Planner will be an integral part of the Purchasing & Supply chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for product forecasting, monitoring demand accuracy, and generating ordering compliance reports.

This role requires effective communication at all levels, with the ability to generate reports and complete presentations for the senior management team.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in demand planning, particularly with short shelf life products such as fresh meats, cheeses, vegetables, and salads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate demand forecasts using statistical, analytical, and historical data.
  • Create product trend analysis using historical demand trends and driving factors such as seasonality and location.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and successfully plan new product promotions, LTOs, and product range changes.
  • Manage stock levels and monitor forecast vs sales/order intake to create and maintain forecast accuracy reports.
  • Ensure products are available through the most appropriate route to market and create detailed compliance reporting.
  • Liaise with Suppliers to gather accurate data and report on KPI/service levels.
  • Liaise with Operational teams to understand stock level issues.
  • Proactively manage supply issues to support the wider team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a supply chain role.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivots Tables.
  • Food background.
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
  • Attention to detail and well-organized thinking.
  • Team player.
