We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Care Manager to lead our children's residential care home in the UK. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable young people.

About the Role

As a Residential Care Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional care and ensuring the wellbeing of every child in our care.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the care home, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
  • Develop staff skills and manage all people-related matters, including recruitment and performance.
  • Care Delivery:
    • Provide high-quality, therapeutic care and advocacy for children and young people.
    • Ensure the staff team is equipped to deliver the highest standards of care.
    • Oversee regulatory inspections, ensuring standards align with Ofsted requirements.
    • Implement robust care and medication practices, safeguarding procedures, and comprehensive record-keeping.
    • Work closely with local authorities, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Safeguarding and Health & Safety:
    • Act as the designated safeguarding lead, responding to concerns immediately.
About You

We are looking for an individual with significant experience working with young people in residential care, along with proven supervisory and management experience within children's residential care. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is essential. You should have strong knowledge of child development, Children's Homes Regulations (2015), and therapeutic interventions.

A competitive salary and benefits package is offered, including ongoing professional development and training opportunities. The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
