Senior Clinical Psychologist

This is a newly created role for a senior clinical psychologist to join a well-established Children and Young People's Eating Disorder service. The role will require oversight of psychology across the whole team, in conjunction with the consultant clinical psychologist/Clinical Lead, and other psychologists.
Main Responsibilities- Provide high-quality specialist clinical psychological services to service users.
- Offer specialist psychological assessment and therapy, providing advice and consultation on service users' psychological care to colleagues from other disciplines, patients' families, and carers.
- Support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other clinicians involved with these services, working autonomously within professional guidelines, exercising full clinical responsibility, and implementing changes where necessary.
- Provide clinical supervision to other psychological services staff, including qualified psychologists, trainee and assistant psychologists, child psychotherapists, and art therapists.
- Participate in service development and governance of psychological services practice within Integrated Children's Services.

Person Specification- Knowledge of a range of psychological procedures and techniques, plus knowledge of specialist therapeutic techniques acquired through professional diploma, advanced diploma, accreditation, registration, or further substantial training and accredited clinical supervision, plus experience and management experience.
- Hold current professional registration with a body appropriate to the field.
- Formal training and/or significant experience in supervision of other psychological services staff, including doctoral-level trainees.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
