Electrical Engineering Director Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Director to lead our electrical engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing electrical projects, including planning, estimation, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee electrical projects from conception to completion.
  • Regular liaison with client representatives and stakeholder management.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly.

Estimation Expertise:

  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather necessary information.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Lead project teams, providing clear instructions and support.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all electrical project-related inquiries.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all work complies with project-specific security protocols.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and project documentation.
  • Oversee risk assessments and implement mitigating measures.
  • Proven experience in electrical project management and estimation.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence.
