Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Fife Property Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide vital support to our valuation staff in the preparation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll and Council Tax Valuation List.

The successful candidate will be based at Fife House but will work Fife wide, supporting our team in their efforts to deliver high-quality services to the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting surveys, measurements, and inspections of domestic and non-domestic properties
  • Maintaining accurate property files and databases
  • Operating computer systems and tools with ease
  • Organizing workload to meet deadlines and maximize productivity
  • Assisting in the preparation of appeal cases for the Local Taxation Chamber
  • Preparing detailed survey reports
  • Collating information for appeals, proposals, and valuations
  • Researching property information from various sources
  • Responding to general property enquiries
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team

About You:

We are looking for a motivated individual with:

  • A relevant qualification, such as Highers or SVQ level 3
  • Numeracy, accuracy, and literacy skills
  • Previous experience working in a busy office environment or as part of a team
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in using software applications
  • The ability to travel throughout Fife
  • A willingness to learn and apply rating and council tax legislation and case law
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
