**Role Summary**

We are seeking a Care Partner Advocate to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work with carers and individuals with mental health issues, providing support and promoting recovery.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mental illnesses and the mental health system, as well as experience in direct work with carers and carrying out assessments. They will be able to provide practical support to enable carers to achieve their wellbeing aims and plan and manage their own workload in a range of settings.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a keenness to make a positive contribution to improving the lives of people with mental health problems. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to use IT programmes effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide support to carers and promote recovery
  • Work with care co-ordinators to develop plans for carers
  • Develop structured and semi-structured group work with carers
  • Respond to urgent situations and emergencies

**Requirements**

  • NVQ Level 3 Qualification or Mental Health Certificate Level 3
  • Commitment to continuing personal development
  • Direct work with carers
  • Carrying out assessments

**What We Offer**

  • A competitive salary of £39,000 - £45,000 per annum

**Salary:** £40,000 - £46,000 per annum
