Job Title: Digital Engineering Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Engineering Leader to join our team at Atlas Workplace Services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in delivering top-notch Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the effective implementation of our Group Health & Safety Policy across all area operations, identifying and addressing any bad behaviors.
  2. Interpret and respond to all client requirements, often going beyond the scope of the contract.
  3. Act as a conduit between site CREWS teams, engineers, and contract managers, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  4. Through customer liaison, understand the client's needs and priorities, identifying significant issues and developing action plans to manage these effectively.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring full ownership and accountability.
  6. Work independently with minimal supervision, using initiative as the contract manager is remote.
  7. Compile and analyze data sets as required, providing insights to inform decision-making.
  8. Provide effective communication and support to the contract coordinator and contract manager.
  9. Support the contract manager and central function with customer feedback, complaints, and escalations.
  10. Act as a central point of governance for administrative procedures, ensuring the team follows agreed processes.
  11. Utilize strong analytical skills to understand and interpret results, driving effective solutions.
  12. Able to travel to other QVC sites as required.
  13. Ensure all Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and COSHH risk assessments are kept up to date and renewed as necessary using Atlas Workplace Services processes.
  14. Maintain the PUWER register, requesting new equipment as required.
  15. Conduct regular PPE checks for the engineering team, ensuring all PPE is safe to use and recording as necessary.
  16. Deliver technical PPM and reactive maintenance on your own responsible tasks, ensuring the rest of your team meets their KPIs.
  17. Advise, train, and supervise your engineering team, utilizing Company procedures and disciplinary processes where necessary.
Requirements:
  1. NVQ level 3 in relevant trades.
  2. Fully time-served apprenticeship in relevant trades (desirable).
  3. ILM 2 Award in Leadership and Management (desirable).
  4. IPAF (site-dependent).
  5. PASMA (site-dependent) (desirable).
  6. Accredited Health and Safety qualification, e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).
  7. Asbestos Awareness.
  8. Legionella Awareness.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  1. Computer literate, with a good understanding of modern office software and experience working with asset/work management systems like MAXIMO/CAFM systems.
  2. 1 year's experience in a supervisory position with an engineering maintenance company or equivalent.
  3. Familiarity with Android-style tablets and laptop computers.
  4. Customer and client focus, with >1 year's experience in customer-facing outsourcing environments.
  5. Sub-contractor management, with 1 year's experience of supervising technical service providers, including issuing permits to work and access.
