We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Peripatetic Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join our dynamic team at Salford City Council's Children's Residential Service. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people, leading by example and guiding a team of Peripatetic Residential Childcare Workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Peripatetic Residential Childcare Workers, creating a positive and supportive environment.
- Provide hands-on care and support to children, helping to create a stable and nurturing environment.
- Work across various homes, adapting to different teams and environments, ensuring that every child receives the highest quality of care and a sense of belonging.
- Guide and mentor staff, promoting best practices in care and therapeutic approaches.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to address challenges and enhance the life experiences of the children in our care.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in residential childcare, with a strong background in therapeutic parenting, behaviour support, and de-escalation techniques.
- Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to work towards this.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments.
