About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Salford. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16 and 17 in a positive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage shifts to ensure high-quality care and support for young people.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential home during weekends and evenings when senior management is not present.
  • Complete and oversee administrative tasks, including care plans, keyworking, and rota planning.
  • Support young people with their transition to independence, including full-time education.
  • Promote a positive and engaging culture within the team and encourage collaboration.
  • Set tasks, delegate responsibilities, and support the development of other team members.
Requirements
  • Experience in a residential care setting, with a focus on supporting children or young people.
  • Experience with paperwork, administration, and the ability to lead a team is essential.
  • Understanding of keyworking and ability to manage the home in the absence of senior management.
  • Mental health experience is desirable but not essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to drive is desirable but not required.
  • We are open to candidates from related industries who have the right skills and passion for the role.
