About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Melanoma team as a Cancer Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to provide support to patients and their families, working closely with our team of nurses and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct information and support to patients and their families via email, telephone, or in-person.
  • Organize and assist the nursing team to provide services effectively and efficiently.
  • Process queries and referrals, guiding and signposting clinical queries and patient queries.
  • Work effectively in a team, managing personal workload using own initiative.
  • Communicate effectively with people at all levels, both verbally and non-verbally.

Person Specification
  • GCSE English Language and Mathematics (grade A-C) or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 4 or additional training to diploma level or equivalent on a health-related subject.
  • Relevant health and social care experience at AfC Band 3 or equivalent.
  • Understanding of organisational policies and procedures, relevant health and social care environment, including terminology.
