Digital Archivist for Humanitarian Collections

We are seeking an experienced Archivist to join our team at the Digital Preservation Coalition. As part of our Wellcome grant, the successful candidate will work on developing the humanitarian archive, collecting personal papers of humanitarians and small NGOs, and cataloguing recently acquired collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a digital toolkit for contemporary humanitarians and NGOs to create sustainable archives
- Work closely with the Library's Digital Preservation and Systems Manager to develop workflows for ingest and management of born digital records into the Preservica digital preservation system
- Curate physical collections and work with depositors and partner NGOs in the UK and overseas
Requirements:
- Graduate with proven experience of digital archiving and a qualification in archives and records management
- Confident communicator and effective at building good relations with depositors and partner NGOs

This is a fixed-term position, and the successful candidate will be working on a range of exciting projects to develop the humanitarian archive. If you have a passion for digital preservation and a proven track record in archiving, we encourage you to apply.
