Job Overview

This exciting opportunity involves working as an Embedded Design Engineer, contributing to the development of cutting-edge fire systems that meet the most stringent performance standards.

Our innovative solutions incorporate fire panels, gas suppression panels, paging systems, wireless interfacing, voice / audio, telephone exchanges, and a diverse range of peripherals, all connected through networks of up to 200 nodes with up to 1000 sensors.

  • As a Senior Design Engineer, you'll be a key player in shaping our products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software in real-time environments for life-critical equipment, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
  • You'll also contribute to the ongoing development of our existing product lines, incorporating customer feedback, market trends, and regulatory compliance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Effective collaboration with hardware engineering colleagues will be essential, fostering a deep understanding of software-hardware interactions and driving mutual growth.
  • Your success will rely on adaptability, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • You'll possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to convey complex concepts and technical information.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of developing high-quality embedded software for real-time systems, ideally using C, C++, or Python.
  • Understand software development best practices, principles, and methodologies.
  • Showcase excellent problem-solving abilities, data analysis skills, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Be comfortable with continuous learning, professional development, and embracing change.
