We're committed to providing excellent care and services to our clients and children, which has contributed to our rapid growth. To maintain this momentum, we're seeking a Relief Chef Manager to join our team.
The RoleAs the Relief Chef Manager, you'll support our catering facilities in schools across your region, focusing on operational and financial performance. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional food and service quality, while showcasing your creativity and flair.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing your kitchen team, providing coaching, training, and motivation to ensure their success.
- Supporting the control of catering operations, including stock, food, and labor costs.
- Ensuring consistency in food and service standards for students and staff.
- Driving sales through monthly promotions and added-value events.
- Managing and improving controllable costs.
- Overseeing menu development.
- Maintaining company systems, procedures, and legislation.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure standards are met.
We're looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools. The ideal candidate will possess:
- OND or HND qualifications (advantageous but not required).
- A driving license.
- Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Financial understanding of gross profit management and achieving sales targets.
- Line management experience.
- Experience in a similar environment.
We offer a unique work-life balance, with Monday-to-Friday hours during school term time. This means you'll have more time for personal activities and no late nights. Our competitive salary range is £28,000-£30,000 per annum.
