We prioritize excellent care and services for clients and children, driving the company's successful growth. To maintain this pace, we seek a Relief Chef Manager to join our team.
The RoleAs the Relief Chef Manager, you will support our school catering facilities in your region, focusing on operational and financial performance. Your goal is to deliver high-quality food and service while showcasing your flair and originality.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing kitchen teams, providing coaching, training, and motivation
- Supporting the control of catering operations, including stock, food, and labor costs
- Ensuring consistency of food and service standards for students and staff
- Driving sales through promotions and added-value events
- Managing and improving controllable costs
- Overseeing menu development
- Maintaining company systems, procedures, and legislation
- Conducting regular audits to ensure standards are met
We seek someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to schools. Key skills and experience include:
- OND or HND qualification (advantageous but not required)
- Driving license
- Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients
- Knowledge of health and safety practices
- Financial understanding of gross profit management and sales targets
- Line management experience
- Experience in a similar environment
We offer attractive working hours, Monday to Friday during school term time, allowing for more time with friends and family. This role includes:
- 40 hours per week, with no late nights
- Working 40 weeks per year, based around term time
- £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
You'll also benefit from:
