We're committed to providing excellent care and services to our clients and children, which has contributed to our rapid growth. To maintain this momentum, we're seeking a Relief Chef Manager to join our team.
The RoleAs the Relief Chef Manager, you'll support our catering facilities in schools within your region, focusing on operational and financial performance. Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality food and service while showcasing your creativity and flair.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the kitchen teams to ensure exceptional service and food quality
- Supporting the control of catering operations, including stock, food, and labor costs
- Ensuring consistency in food and service standards for students and staff
- Driving sales through promotions and added-value events
- Managing and improving controllable costs
- Overseeing menu development and implementation
- Maintaining company systems, procedures, and legislation
- Conducting regular audits to ensure standards are met
We're looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools. The ideal candidate will possess:
- OND or HND qualification (advantageous but not required)
- Driving license
- Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients
- Knowledge of health and safety practices
- Financial understanding of gross profit management and sales targets
- Line management experience
- Experience in a similar environment
We offer a unique work-life balance, with Monday-to-Friday hours during school term time. This means you'll have more time for personal activities and no late nights. Our competitive salary range is £28,000-£30,000 per annum.
