Healthcare Support Specialist

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care? We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team in the Dermatology Outpatient Department at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
About the RoleThis is a part-time, 18-month fixed-term position that requires excellent communication and organisational skills. As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and effective patient care, supporting the smooth running of clinics and minor procedures.
We offer a comprehensive training program, where you will have the opportunity to learn about this highly specialized area of care, assist in our Minor Operations theatre, and participate in daily clinics. Our team is friendly and welcoming, committed to helping you develop your skills and reach your full potential.
A key aspect of this role is ensuring patient safety and dignity, working within agreed ways of working, following relevant Trust standards, policies, and protocols. You will also be responsible for safely delivering care duties, including manoeuvring patient equipment, managing patient property, and implementing a duty of care.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing situations
- Flexibility and willingness to learn and develop within the specialty
- Completion of the Care Certificate within 4 months of appointment
The estimated salary for this role is £19,000 - £20,500 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment.
