Job Title: Forensic Interviewer

Bryn Mawr College is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Forensic Interviewer to join our team. As a Forensic Interviewer, you will play a critical role in conducting non-leading, child-friendly interviews of children affected by sexual and physical abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough and sensitive interviews with children and adults with disabilities who have potentially been victimized or witnessed a crime or violence.
  • Follow the National Child Advocacy Center's (NCAC) protocol for interviewing children who are suspected victims of child abuse (sexual or physical) and witnesses of abuse or violence.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including law enforcement personnel, case workers, prosecutors, medical and mental health professionals, to ensure a comprehensive approach to investigating child abuse cases.
  • Participate in peer review meetings and national journal clubs to stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in forensic interviewing and child advocacy.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on mandated reporting, child abuse, and child advocacy for multidisciplinary team members and community stakeholders.
  • Provide orientation and support to new team members on the team approach to investigating child abuse cases.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years' experience in a field related to child abuse investigation or a related field.
  • Experience working with victims of child abuse, physical abuse, and family violence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to attend training and professional meetings.
  • Valid driver's license or ability to travel to various locations.
