Job Title: Forensic Interview Specialist

Bryn Mawr College is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Interview Specialist to join our team. As a Forensic Interview Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting non-leading, child-friendly interviews of children affected by sexual and physical abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews with children and adults with disabilities who have potentially been victimized or witnessed a crime or violence.
  • Follow the National Child Advocacy Center's (NCAC) protocol for interviewing children who are suspected victims of child abuse (sexual or physical) and witnesses of abuse or violence.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including law enforcement personnel, case workers, prosecutors, medical and mental health personnel.
  • Participate in peer review meetings and national journal club phone calls to stay up-to-date on the latest research in forensic interviewing and child advocacy.
  • Provide training and outreach on mandated reporting, child abuse, and child advocacy.
  • Support the general day-to-day activities of the Children's Advocacy Center and promote its programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years' experience in a field related to child abuse and interviewing.
  • Experience working with victims of child sexual abuse, physical abuse, and family violence.
  • Good organizational and writing skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Capability to participate in community presentations and outreach programs.
Working Conditions:

As a Forensic Interview Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with clients, community members, and multidisciplinary team members. You will be required to use office machinery, including computers.
