Job Title: Education and Training Advisor

The Education and Training Advisor is a key member of the Bryn Mawr College team, responsible for providing leadership and support to the education department. This role requires a strong background in education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision to the education department staff.
  • Recruit, screen, and interview applicants for positions in the education department.
  • Develop and implement programs to promote staff engagement and student success.
  • Work closely with the social services director to refer students and parents for information and referral services.
  • Conduct supervisory meetings with the education department staff to review progress and goals.
  • Lead and assist the career coach and community liaison in their roles.
  • Assist staff in leading engaging and practical activities for students.
  • Develop supports for students who require additional assistance.
  • Provide feedback on lesson plans and materials.
  • Facilitate teacher training and improve the established curriculum.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent from an accredited college.
  • At least two years of experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be a team leader and provide effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data management using standardized methods and job-related equipment.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
Working Conditions:

This position requires visual and auditory acuity and the physical ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, and ramps. The ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods and work on your feet for a minimum of 6 hours at a time is also required.

Must obtain the following clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Check.
