Logistics General Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Logistics General Manager to lead our Newport site, driving operational and financial performance across warehousing and transport.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial management of the operation
  • Effective leadership of the distribution operation to provide a reliable and punctual service and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for correct staffing levels to maintain service and productivity
  • Drive efficiency through continuous improvement and KPI management
  • Lead, engage and coach a sizeable team
  • Set strategy, drive innovation and lead change
  • Engage with key customers to improve service and support future business growth
Requirements:
  • Previous senior management experience within a transport operation or customer-centric distribution environment
  • Credibility and gravitas to engage with and develop the workforce, as well as build an excellent working relationship with clients
  • Proven continuous improvement experience, along with the capacity to identify areas for improved processes/productivity
  • Budget management experience
  • Strong commercial acumen
