Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our team in the UK. As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the management of operational activities within the logistics function and contribute to the delivery of the overall logistics strategy of Safran UK.

You will lead a team of logistics professionals, providing supervision, support, and development to achieve key operational metrics in line with our overall Supply Chain business strategy. You will be accountable for achieving logistical KPIs in scope and leading continuous improvement of the teams and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and drive HSE culture, leading by example, implementing daily and weekly audits on HSE, and improvement plans.
  • Understand and maintain One Safran process standards (SCOUT) for relevant logistics processes and develop and drive improvements where necessary.
  • Own and produce Logistics KPIs to assess performance vs target and communicate status to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct continuous improvement activities, review, and evaluate in the area of responsibility with the team.
  • Manage, allocate, evaluate, and optimize operational resources.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge in key warehousing processes, ideally with a multi-site setup.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to communicate verbally and written to own team and leadership.
  • Previous experience of team leadership and people-related activities.
  • Exposure and/or experience in the development of teams.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Incorporates Safran Leadership Model with demonstrable exposure.
  • Comfortable to deliver reports and communications to a wider team.
  • HSE Qualification.
  • Demonstrable pro-activeness in identifying and solving problems.
  • Positive attitude to tackling challenges.
