About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Coordinator to join our team at Southdown. As a Mental Health Support Coordinator, you will work in partnership with Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust and local General Practitioners to provide targeted mental health and holistic support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside General Practitioners to access and provide short-term, early intervention support in a primary care setting.
  • Utilize a non-medical approach, leveraging multidisciplinary networks for complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with a supportive, flexible team to provide comprehensive support to individuals.
  • Participate in regular training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of working in mental health or equivalent transferable skills.
  • Genuine passion for supporting individuals to explore their needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
