**Job Title:** Financial Debt Structuring Director

Estimated salary: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum

**About the role:**

This is an exciting opportunity to join our debt structuring team as a director. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic direction for debt structuring, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes.

You will oversee the management of debt structuring, including the oversight of colleagues and their performance, implementation of departmental goals and objectives, and oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.

Key stakeholders will include functional leadership teams and senior management who rely on your expertise to advise them on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.

As a leader in this field, you will demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, Excel knowledge, and stakeholder management experience.

They will also possess good business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology knowledge, and job-specific technical skills.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for debt structuring
  • Manage debt structuring risk, including identification of potential risks, development of strategies to mitigate those risks, and maintenance of alignment between the bank's debt structuring and compliance functions
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify market opportunities
  • Monitor the financial performance of the debt structuring department, including revenue, profitability, and cost control
  • Lead a number of specialists to influence the operations of a department, aligning with strategic as well as tactical priorities, while balancing short and long-term goals and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements

**Requirements:**

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in debt structuring or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance
