Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be expected to demonstrate strong clinical leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and organize your work effectively. You will also be required to participate in clinical supervision programs and contribute to the development of others.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for critically ill adults in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Use specialist knowledge to provide high-quality patient care, maintaining a safe clinical environment and promoting patient safety and risk reduction.
- Develop leadership skills and experience in the management of the Intensive Care Unit, participating in the implementation of the RUH Nursing strategy.
- Contribute to the development of others, participating in clinical supervision programs and teaching and mentoring nursing or non-nursing staff.
- Current registration with the NMC.
- Evidence of significant post-registration study specifically related to Intensive Care.
- Registered nurse with extensive critical care nursing experience.
- Evidence of completion of Step 1, 2, and 3 national competency framework for adult critical care nurses.
- Management and leadership training.
- Paediatric critical care qualification and clinical experience or willingness to undertake relevant study.
- Completion of Step 4 national competency framework for adult critical care nurses.
We offer a competitive salary of £37,338 to £52,809 per annum, pro-rata if part-time, and a comprehensive benefits package, including a well-established program of support for staff wellbeing.
