Intensive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled ICU Nurse to join our team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
As a critical care sister, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs of care for critically ill adults, in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to maintain a safe clinical environment, develop leadership skills, and experience in the management within the Intensive Care Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for critically ill adults
- Use specialist knowledge and skills to maintain a safe clinical environment
- Develop leadership skills and experience in the management within the Intensive Care Unit
- Participate in clinical supervision programs and teach and act as a facilitator/mentor/preceptor to nursing or non-nursing staff
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current registration with the NMC
- Evidence of significant post-registration study specifically related to Intensive Care
- Registered nurse with extensive critical care nursing experience
- Evidence of completion of Step 1, 2, and 3 national competency framework for adult critical care nurses
- Management and leadership training
- Paediatric critical care qualification and clinical experience or willingness to undertake relevant study
- Completion of Step 4 national competency framework for adult critical care nurses
