Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have significant experience within a critical care setting and will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of critical care nursing principles and practices. You will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs of care for critically ill adults in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
You will also be required to maintain a safe clinical environment conducive to patient care, develop leadership skills, and experience in the management within the Intensive Care Unit. Additionally, you will be expected to promote and participate in the implementation of the RUH Nursing strategy, develop and implement audit, quality, and risk management initiatives, and review nursing practice and implement appropriate changes based on research/best practice.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for critically ill adults
- Maintain a safe clinical environment conducive to patient care
- Develop leadership skills and experience in the management within the Intensive Care Unit
- Participate in the implementation of the RUH Nursing strategy
- Develop and implement audit, quality, and risk management initiatives
- Review nursing practice and implement appropriate changes based on research/best practice
- Current registration with NMC
- Evidence of significant post-registration study specifically related to Intensive Care
- Registered nurse with extensive critical care nursing experience
- Evidence of completion of Step 1, 2, and 3 national competency framework for adult critical care nurses
- Management and leadership training
- Paediatric critical care qualification and clinical experience or willingness to undertake relevant study
- Completion of Step 4 national competency framework for adult critical care nurses
We offer a competitive salary of £37,338 to £52,809 per annum, pro-rata if part-time. We also offer a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, annual leave, and access to training and development opportunities.
