RAC, the UK's leading breakdown provider, is seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment through effective employee engagement, talent development, and organisational change initiatives.

Reporting into the Senior HR Business Partner, you will collaborate with colleagues to provide dedicated HR expertise, guidance, and support to people managers and leaders. This will involve facilitating effective talent management, organisational design, and change initiatives to drive RAC's success.

This role is hybrid working, with 2 days spent in the office and 3 days working from home. The ideal candidate will have experience in a generalist HR role, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and ensure a positive work environment and culture.
  • Identify and nurture talent within the organisation, facilitate development conversations, and create career growth pathways.
  • Lead and support organisational design and change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to employees.
  • Guide managers in effectively managing employee performance, setting clear expectations, and providing regular feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees and managers, address concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that support overall business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a generalist HR role, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Ability to develop credibility with stakeholders and groups.
  • Experience of managing projects and delivering them to plan, ideally within a large, complex organisation.
  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field, and HR certification (CIPD L5/7).
