Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join our Legal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will play a critical role in advising our company's teams in the UK and US on a wide range of commercial and corporate legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of various legal agreements and other legal documents, including services, confidentiality, material transfer, consultancy, research, collaboration, and IP license agreements.
  • Provide legal support for our company's clinical trials across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Provide ad hoc general legal support as required.
  • Assist individuals in the business who need assistance with the contract approval process.
  • Supervise external counsel as required.
  • Apply detailed understanding of our company's technologies, products, intellectual property, and R&D activities.
  • Interact with key stakeholders in the UK and US on a daily basis.
  • Assist with management of any litigation.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer (3 years PQE or above).
  • Experience in a broad range of commercial and corporate legal advice, including commercial contracts and related IP issues.
  • Good analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in an international team across different time zones.
  • Able to prioritize and manage a high volume of work.
  • Ability to work across functions – excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to proactively identify issues, think strategically, propose, and implement practical solutions.
  • Willing to take on new challenges.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience advising life sciences companies.
  • Experience working in the in-house environment.
