Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in advising our business on a wide range of commercial law and contracting issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Negotiation and Review: You will be responsible for reviewing and drafting general commercial contracts, including procurement agreements, master service agreements, and terms and conditions.
  • Statutory Compliance: You will support our business in key areas of statutory compliance, including anti-bribery, modern slavery, data protection, and export control.
  • Training and Development: You will conduct training sessions on compliance issues and other key areas for the business, tailored to specific business and HR requirements.
  • Special Projects: You will assist in developing and overseeing the implementation of legal policies and support for compliance initiatives across all research centres in the UK.
  • Regional Support: You will work as part of the European legal team to identify and support issues of regional importance.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial law and contracting
  • UK qualified solicitor or barrister
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial law, contracts, and related areas of statutory compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
