Senior Legal Counsel Opportunity

Reed is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Cambridge. As a UK qualified solicitor or barrister with 2+ years of post-qualification experience, you will have excellent knowledge of commercial law, contracts, and related areas of statutory compliance, intellectual property, and data privacy issues.

As a key member of the European legal team, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising the business on a full range of contracting issues, from procurement to research partnerships and business development/marketing arrangements.
  • Reviewing and drafting general commercial contracts and other documents, including NDAs, master service agreements, and terms and conditions.
  • Supporting the business with key areas of statutory compliance, including anti-bribery, modern slavery, data protection, and export control.
  • Conducting training sessions on compliance issues and other key areas for the business, tailored to specific business and HR requirements.
  • Supporting special acquisitions/strategic projects and certain corporate-related matters.
  • Assisting in developing and overseeing the implementation of legal policies and support for compliance initiatives across all research centres in the UK.
