Well-being and Activities Coordinator

This role is based in Burford House Care Home, located in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire.

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Well-being and Activities Coordinator to join our family at Westgate Healthcare.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging activities and experiences for our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

About the Role:

  • Create activity programs tailored to meet the needs and interests of our residents
  • Organize theme events, outings, and group activities that cater to diverse tastes and abilities
  • Manage monthly activity budgets and ensure compliance with company procedures
  • Develop newsletters and update social media content to keep residents' families informed
  • Engage with external resources and community-based initiatives to enhance our offerings
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver activities that promote resident engagement and satisfaction

About You:

  • A right to live and work in the UK
  • Ability to work in a team and demonstrate a caring nature and positive attitude
  • Understanding of health and safety principles and protocols
  • Knowledge of vulnerable individuals' emotional, social, physical, psychological, and intellectual needs
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a care home is desirable but not essential
