About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Woodlands Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in York. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical psychology input within the Active Care Group, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality and intensive neurological rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical psychology input within the Active Care Group
  • Engage in relevant research and advise other professionals as appropriate
  • Complete assessment and clinical formulation of patients' problem behaviours and treatment needs
  • Provide evidence-based individual and group treatment programmes to address or reduce the negative impact of difficulties
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group treatment programmes
  • Direct and support others to carry out evidence-based clinical psychology interventions
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring that appropriate security procedures are adhered to at all times and that risks are continuously assessed and managed
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, and carers

What You'll Have

The successful candidate will have a wide-ranging knowledge of specialist neuropsychological assessment and the treatment of adults presenting with complex, acquired neurological disorders, in particular those with cognitive, psychological, and emotional impairments which prevent them from achieving independent functioning in daily living.
